  1. Keybinds to autofill / launch the extension

I believe that Proton Pass should have a 'last used login' just like Bitwarden, after moving over to proton pass, i do find myself missing this as i used that more often than the UI itself.

  2. Children Accounts (under Unlimited user acct )

I am an Unlimited user and would like to be able to give my 12 yr old a Pass "light" access, from my Unlimited account vault. i.e. manage as a child free vault extension i could set up and manage from my service. Would it be a possibility to have a slimmed down version for children to manage upto maybe 25 sites ( eg. email, ps5, ubisoft etc logins? )

  4. Challenge-response with yubikey

KeepassXC and Keepass2Android have the option to use challange-response to decrypt the database. I really dont trust in only need an pin on my device to keep my passwords and passkeys safe. The KeepassXC Challange-response changes the set of static password (formed with yubikey challenge and a password) every time that the database is changed a bit.

  5. Passkeys and Password Health

If I have a login that has a passkey but no password, I don't get any password health indicator. Conversely, if I add a random but strong password, I get a "strong" indicator.

The strongest password is a passkey and no password at all, therefore, passkeys should indicate "strong" even if the password is blank.

If I have a passkey and no password, the password field should be hidden.

  6. When logging into an app in Windows, do not automatically open saved items so as not to accidentally reveal "unexpected" info.

When you sign into the application, hide saved items by default to avoid disseminating valuable information to potential observers.

  7. Go to item in a vault by typing a couple of letters

To be able to start typing in a vault or all items and it brings you to the start of the items starting with those letters.
Say I have 1,000 items and rather than searching in the search bar for what you want, you just type a couple of letters, say "go" and that will bring you to the items starting with "go" such as Google.

  11. Account switching for browser extension

Hello ! It would be necessary to manage multiple accounts. For instance, if you use both a personal account and a shared professional account, it is currently necessary to log out of the extension and log back in with a different account every time. It would be useful to be able to switch easily from one account to another. It would also be helpful to have the option to choose which account you want to save the password to when registering.

  12. Detect when a password only contains of placeholder dots

Detect when a password only contains of placeholder dots and warn that the actual password is probably different. Sometimes, I end up with accounts whose passwords are large and auto-generated, but all that Proton Pass saved is a bunch of dots that are usually masking the actual password.

I don't know how exactly that happens, but it happens not once and not twice, so I think this feature would be really nice to implement

  14. Kerberos passwords

If one uses Pass to store Kerberos passwords, one has to retrieve them through clipboard each time when invoking the 'kinit' command, which is used to retrieve Kerberos tickets. This is a pretty cumbersome thing to do on regular basis.

It would be appreciable if Proton Pass could either:
    1. Invoke the 'kinit' command directly on user's behalf, and securely insert the secret password into its input.
    2. Permit shell access to passwords in plain-text (when unlocked), so that a script initializing Kerberos tickets could retrieve the current password just before invoking 'kinit'.

  15. Lock extension by default

Every time I install the ProtonPass Firefox extension I have to remember to set a lock pin, otherwise the extension remains vulnerable.
Sometimes the extension updates itself, and even if it forces me to log in again (which is OK) the pin is lost, so I have to remember to set a pin again or be vulnerable.

I understand the pin is local to that extension, so my proposal is to follow what other password managers does, which is to lock with the password account if no pin has been set.
In that scenario, it would be a little bit…

  17. Add 2FA OTP codes via QR codes on desktop

The mobile app allows one to add 2FA codes to a login, but the desktop browser extension does not. The Authenticator extension for e.g. Firefox supports this, so it's definitely possible.

It would be nice to not have to open the app on my phone, scan the screen, and force a sync in the extension to get the ground

  20. Limit suggested passwords, by vault selection

When a vault besides All Vaults is selected, only the passwords kept within that vault are suggested to the user.

This helps with persona management, eg. I'm at work and select the work vault. The suggested password is only my work protonmail account.

Current behavior is that I will see multiple logins for the same site and have to choose between them, when really only one is appropriate since I've selected a specific vault.
