Open the next email automatically after deleting or moving the first one
When I delete a message I want to go directly to the next email, instead of going to the inbox and then click the next email.
This feature is a simple one, but when you have to read a lot of emails it saves a lot of time.
It is available both in Gmail and Yahoo.
Thank you for your attention.
Work on this feature has started, beginning with iOS availability.

I can't believe this very basic feature is missing, I'm wasting so much time and more clicks means my hand hurts even more.
I'm really trying to reduce the number of clicks I do every day otherwise I might not be able to work anymore because of the pain.Proton Mail is simply doing it wrong by ignoring this users' request

This is exactly how Apple Mail does it and it's great. One of the reasons the web UI feels clunky and outdated in comparison.

Concur with Philippe D.'s commends from May 06, 2019. This affects default conversation view and it would be very nice to have the selection of settings he mentions. Currently deleting a conversation, read or unread, in row view is effectively the "Go back to the threadlist" option. In column view, it is similar, it just shows no conversations are selected.

Come on ProtonMail people, this request, asked multiple times, is 3 years old! can't you add the option in settings ?

I would gladly pay for ProtonMail if it had this feature. I wish that at a minimum there would be a response from ProtonMail as to the future of this feature.

Yes, please! It is too cumbersome and slow when going through 10+ emails in a row every day to have to use the mouse to click the Inbox after every deleted email.

seems unreasonable that this basic feature isn't already in the web app ...

This idea has been around since 2016?
without this feature, the web app is not very useful ...

The corresponding GMail setting is set like this:
Auto-advance:
After archiving, deleting, muting, etc. a conversation:
( ) Go to the next (newer) conversation
( ) Go to the previous (older) conversation
( ) Go back to the threadlist -

I can't believe there aren't a ton of votes on this. When in webmail I use the delete key on the menu bar to delete the current message I am viewing. Then I need to click on the next message I want to view, and repeat the process for all unread messages. Such a pain!!

I was just about to suggest this feature

I strongly agree, in either mode, after you delete an email, it doesnt go to the next email, you have to click on the next email to open it, instead of it just displaying automatically.

Is anyone from Protonmail reading this? This is a necessary feature. Please implement it, or, if it is already available, tell us how to turn it on.

Just change the interface so you can view emails to the left and the actual emails to the right.

I am not moving completely on protonmail because of the absence of this feature.
Please implement it, it really save a lot of time!

If I have 20 emails to read, I want to just kick 1 button to read the next email. Instead of clicking back to the main page, then going back the 2nd email, and on and on. Gmail has this.
