Block sender
It would be great to be able to block certain email addresses from being able to send you emails. Not just a filter to go to “spam” but being able to actually block the sender totally

This whole time, even after PAYING for this email, I thought 'BlackList' was equivalent to blocking; but now since the emails from someone keep coming, my search has taken me here.
WHY is ProtonMail not able to BLOCK emails from specific addresses or domains.
This is ridiculous, and my stomach is all torn up. Don't know when I'll be able to eat again.
Thanks ;( -

Yes I would like this feature too as receiving threatening emails from hackers through spam account. I would rather block them than simply delete ?

Having been subjected to a very tech-savvy online stalker for over ten years, who takes on many pseudonyms, I would definitely like the option to block individuals in future, just in case he finds me yet again.

I just want to block emails from a very annoying person. Every other email client I have ever used has this feature! Am I missing some easy way to do this?

I use and pay for 33mail.com because it has this feature. If Protonmail did this I would switch all my paid business to Protonmail.

Please include the ability to block unwanted email addresses. It would be nice to send a bounce email back to them

The ability to manually block an email would be great. I disagree in automatically blocking all emails from Gmail, Yahoo, etc. This would just limit greatly the usefulness of protonmail. If one couldn't receive any email from Gmail I would be force to stop using protonmail

I agree. A block feature is essential. Too many people use email to harass or send spam. There are people whose names I don't want to see in my inbox. At the moment, all I can do is send them to trash or spam, but that still costs time and energy. We need the ability to block harmful people.

Yes, this is essential! Especially since harassment is so common. Protection from harassment and stalking is a huge part of privacy. Please implement a block feature. Thank you.

I have been researching this feature and yes I would love to block a certain sender but can't. Even though I can blacklist and send things to Spam automatically, Emails marked as spam don't Auto delete so I still have to delete them personally.
I think it should be a feature to block certain people from sending you Emails, especially if it's for personal reasons such as being harrassed.

I have added email addresses to Custom Filters - Black list, but continue to receive unwanted emails. The ability to actually Block unwanted emails in Inbox & Spam would be a great addition to Secure emails.

100% agree, Some e-mail just needs to get the permanent boot. That "sieve" thing made my, non IT department, head swim. I think most are talking about a single click you give marked mails as "block sender" I really don't care if there is a message. I just don't want them plugging up my inbox, or for that matter spam box. Having to continually nuke them makes me feel like they are winning. Generally these are mails from parties I have never encouraged, or even engaged, it's SPAM in it's purest sense, and in this day and age I read of e-mail you don't need to download to infect you, just clicking them. Can't accidentally click what isn't there......

Today i came accros with the necessity for personal security to block a sender and realized that is not possible, but it is actually possible in other email platforms. I think this is an essential future.
