If this feature will be implemented, I instantly would buy ProtonMail Pro!

I agree, the main use case for me is a centralized interface to send and receive mail from all email accounts. Even if ProtonMail is your main email there are likely legacy accounts with other ESPs that you cannot dispense with completely. Avoid having to log in to 10 different places to check them all is critical. Then ProtonMail becomes a one stop shop that is as secure as possible. I recognize the challenge of interfacing with other non-secure providers within ProtonMail's encrypted environment.

Along with this feature should also be a checkbox to delete all messages from the external account upon import.

A function that will fetch email from other accounts using POP3/IMAP. This tools will allow the migration of emails, or the aggregation of various email accounts to your proton mail account.

POP3 import is also a good idea.
The main concept behind this is to use protonmail as a main mailbox, use the encryption features, but also have the aibility to import messages from old (and still active) email accounts (you know, the one you use for the newsletters, the one for every order you make on websites like amazon, ebay... which will never be encrypted and for which you don't wan't to give your protonmail address)
