I just paid for a year subscription yesterday and am wishing I had not once I realized that THERE IS NO FUNTIONALITY TO STORE CONTACT INFORMATION. A name and email is not contact infromation, it's just an email address; might as well not have the name field in most instances. Please add this basic ability, or provide guidance on best practice to use Google contacts with autosync without compromising security (is this an issue?).
My limited experience has been that ProtonMail is a awesome product who's time has come, but not having basic info like phone, address and (please) a notes field with at least a 1000 character size is greatly limiting. I know ProtonMail is NOT google (thank you for that) and only has limited staff. ProtonMail, please provide a roadmap for enhancements so we can all feel better about donating to support those efforts. Perhaps even a time (or $) budget for each enhancement; might be a way to get donations for specific enhancements.
Anyway, hope to continue to see great improvements. Thanks. -

And make contacts sync with protonmail from phone or at least able to import/export contacts .CSV file to and from protonmail.
Also an area in a contact to place his/her public key.

I agree, I am still trying to learn how to put certain contacts into specific groups. How do you do it?

Essential!

Keep in mind that the additional fields should be stored in encrypted form!

I agree, this was one of the most important features to add. Should've come *before* paid accounts. This is so easy to implement and so fundamental, I honestly can think of one good reason why this hasn't been implemented yet. Should be a top priority

Like so many others have already mentioned. Multiple fields for everything with customizable labels is a must. Much like Googles contacts works, or Tutanota for that matter, when you need to add yet another address, note or other information to a contact, just press a button to add another field.

This is a needed feature to become the main email application and should be added before having paid plans. This is one of the most basic features. Having addresses, phone numbers, multiple emails and so on is critical for those of us that use our phones for business/personal in today’s digital world.
I have donated multiple times at this point and consider it worthy to the cause. However becoming a monthly subscriber is something I will only consider when Protonmail will have all the basic features needed to be the fulltime email client.

I would like to see ProtonMail have more areas for contact information like:
Address:
Phone number(s):
Alternate email:
PGP Key:
Notes:Why not allow all the fields from android/iPhone import files, and adding on PGP key info area?

Also the ability to sync contacts to iPhone would be great.

Would love fields akin to something like Google Contacts or iCloud Contacts.

This is my most missed feature from Outlook.com and Gmail.com. I switched solely to Protonmail for email but have to leave my Google account open to sync my contacts to my Android device. Once this is available in Protonmail I can close my Gmail account and be 100% Protonmail.

It would be great to have extra information boxes like "phone" or "address" for the contact list. I think this is the biggest change from other mail providers. I am planning on quitting completely Google in about two weeks, and the biggest challenge is "What am I going to do with my contacts details?" Thy will have to be archived in a lousy spreadsheet on my computer... I really can't wait for you to insert additional co tact details boxes.
Thank you for your hard work!!

Yes, multiple email addresses per contact to start with. Other information would be a nice feature, because if you're going to use ProtonMail as you primary email app(lication), you might as well use it as your primary (encrypted) address book too, where you can look up all needed info about your contact, anywhere you are.

Multiple e-mail addresses per contact (work, home, etc) is a must.
