I just started using the ProtonMail Android app and the font size is a killer.
There really needs to be a setting for larger font size and pinch to zoom on any email.
And changing the system font and or display size just to fix this one app is not an acceptable solution.

On Android 7.1.2, ProtonMail App version 1.9.2, you can change the font size of an E-mail by changing the display size in the Settings App, in most cases.

Your font is too small, too difficult to use your service. May switch to another service.

YES absolutely. The inability to change the default font and font size is my biggest gripe about Proton Mail and is the one thing that makes we toy with idea of switching to another service or client.
I do NOT wish to use Apple Mail or Thunderbird. Hate 'em both. Proton Mail's web client app is really nice, but really needs this one improvement.

Zooming on Android enlarges the font, but the screen doesn't redraw, so the text runs off the screen.

Mobile app fonts are super small compared to the fonts in all of my other mobile apps.

Everyone but Proton can set default font and size for text body. It does matter for business. Impressions matter for business. I send a hundred e-mails a day and I have to format each one.

Agreed ... please.
If one could pre-set one's preferred font and font size in 'settings' as default for sending emails that would be superbly helpful.
Thank you. -

But I just want to be able to read my messages without a magnifying glass. The print is SO tiny!!! Still can't find a way to change that.

And I have experienced that the fonts and sizes looked the same in my text in the draft, but once I clicked on send, they don't look the same anymore in my "sent" box! It happened to be a very important email and made me kind of regret using protonmail.......

Adding my voice on older peeps getting emails with type SO SMALL we cannot read it. I don't care about other text options. Just make it an option to SHOW us larger type when we read emails.

The service is missing a choice for text size and font that can be chosen as a set up feature. Currently you can do it in each message, but (a) the size is too small, (b) the font choice reverts back to default, and (c) visibility is horrendous. Keep in mind that not all subscribers have the same level of visual acuity. Therefore the idea is that one can choose his own default setting and not be bothered by almost unreadable characters.
