Widget Monthly View
Currently an added benefit on that I see to the Google Calendar widget and Samsung Calendar, compared to the Proton Calendar, is an array of widget display options.
Currently, Proton Calendar only allows for an agenda-style view, which just lists in sequence what is going on. But it would be helpful to see your month at a glance without actually having to click into the app. Or, like the Samsung App, it gives you a month view and an agenda view side by side.
Giving users the ability to pick a style fits their use case will improve the number of users leveraging the widget, instead of only having a single option (take it or leave it) style.

Yep, just keeping the voices raised for this one.
The lack of a full month calendar view in the Android widget is easily the thing I am currently most disappointed about since making the switch.
Please consider adding this to the roadmap, it would make a lot of people very happy!

Overall I'm very happy with Proton products, but a lot of people, including myself, can't make the full switch because we still have to use third-party calendar apps that offer monthly/weekly widgets. The feedback for this seemingly simple feature has been coming in for years, and it's still not on the roadmap for 2025!
I know this has been posted before, but I'm requesting it again because this is just essential for any calendar app.

Please 🙏 I was so shocked to see 4 different widgets for the VPN when there's already an auto-connect button.. but only one widget for the calendar! I looked at the roadmap for summer 2025, it does NOT look like this is being addressed, even after 4 years of us requesting 😭😭

First off love what you guys are doing and I've been a full-paying and subscribing member for over 5 years now ........But PLEEEEEAAAAASSSSSSEEEEE add the monthly widget.....The calendar app is useless without it and people won't move over full time....I asked a few years ago but was told it wasn't on the roadmap...Any chance now? Begrudgingly still using Google because this feature doesn't exist...

My wife and I got new smartphones today. I definitely wanted to replace Gmail with Proton as our calendar, but the lack of a monthly widget unfortunately makes my efforts to convince her unsuccessful.

I still use the native iOS widgets to show a monthly calendar next to daily events. If Proton implemented a widget with monthly view next to events, I would finally be able to fully commit to only using Proton Calendar.

Proton Calendar works perfectly fine, except not having this feature makes it basically useless compared to Google calendar. This issue has been open for almost a year, and it would be great to see it added sooner rather than later.

As some have said, the monthly widget is basically what I want my calendar app to do. having it be an extra click rather than just viewing it from my home screen removes a lot of the utility to me and kind of forces me to continue using my google calender (which I'd rather not)

I was shocked the widget was launched without this option. This is the basic view for all calendar widgets on android and iPhone.

Agenda style is only useful if I'm using Proton Calendar for work, which I am not.
The events on my calendar are not meetings, but birthdays, appointments, events with friends, etc.
I use my calendar for planning, not organizing my day. Monthly view lets me see what is coming up and quickly/easily determine if I can agree to dinner next Saturday or not.
For me, the agenda view is functionally useless. That the widget only allows a single option suggests that Proton Mail and Proton Calendar are intended for and prioritize a single type of user.

This is a critical feature. Being able to configure the widget display view for your own use case is an absolute must with a calendar. Currently, I have to click into the calendar app every time I use it. Only being able to see, at a glance, what is coming up today is not useful for me in managing my life.
