Notes, To-do lists, Task's
Notes, Task, to-do list, is essential in any calendar.
Mandatory in Proton Business.
This is the only way to make Proton Calendar a real alternative to Outlook.
They can and must improve.
Much appreciated.

+1 for me. I am currently looking for a save todo app that I can use cross platform that is European based but it's hard finding one that is comfortable to use. Having it integrated with my emails and the celandar would be great, but honestly, if I have a simple todo app at first and then it is progressively getting updated I would be fine. This is, for me, the only missing link I still need to completely switch to proton

The ability to schedule tasks in the Calendar app needs to be implemented. In my migration from Google, this has been a major hurdle. The tasks function in Google calendar allows me to set daily, weekly, monthly and periodic tasks in a way that forces me to mark them as completed.
I use the tasks function to not only remind me to do things but also serves to have a record that I completed the task. The events function in calendar doesn't have that functionality. I use it to take my meds, keep me on-task until I do what is set and then mark as completed so that my ADHD can't gaslight me into thinking I've forgotten to do something. One important difference between events and tasks is that an event has a start and end time so it auto-completes once the allotted time is over; whereas a tall is set at a specific time and won't show as completed until I mark it as completed.
That was a little long-winded but I felt the need to point out how important this function is and what specifically makes it so important.

I have switched from Gmail to Protonmail. Now I would like to move my calendar too. But I use Google Tasks a lot and I really need such a function to move to Proton calendar

An app like google tasks focused on privacy. It has a Kanban‑style layout or list view. The tasks can be moved to the calendar to schedule. You can access offline on your phone and desktop apps.

There are some Community made additions that try to do sOmEtHinG like this but they don't fix the Problem properly https://github.com/raquentin/protoncalendar-tasks

I can't fully switch until there is a feature like this. Thanks for the free trial, but it doesn't make sense to start a paid plan at this stage.
I hope to be back - but will have to look at alternatives - since this quite simple but essential feature for a lot of peoples workflow has been requested for a looong time.

Yes! This is a must! I've tried Standard Notes but it's clearly not a proton-designed product. The linux repo was super buggy, and that made me not trust it to keep my notes secured.

I started using Joplin, an open-source notes application. I like it's simplicity and handy reminder functions.
As proton drive doesn't allow WebDav, I had to resort to pCloud for cloud-syncing. If Proton were to integrate their Joplin server into their ecosystem, not only syncing but collaboration would become an option, which would be another huge plus.@Proton: why don't you look into Joplin. There is no need to reinvent the wheel...

Would be great to add task from email. Inside Emails, on each item, having button to "Add to calednar" or "Add task" with date time taken from email content, attach email, also get location.

I'd love these features, but as two standalone apps (Notes and Tasks) rather than as part of the calendar app.
I've tried Standard Notes but it's just not as slick and usable as the other Proton apps.

*Task List - Essential! Please!
Even just having a module where you can note down tasks in different category lists , not necessarily connected to Proton Calendar (as I assume that's causing the long timeline), it would be amazing. This is the only feature stopping me from moving completely off the Google Suite, and upgrading to a higher plan with Proton. Could you please communicate a timeline for this, any ambiguous replies only create a lack of transparency and frustration for us customers. Please consider Proton! I see on other webpages/Reddit this has been asked for years, and by hundreds of people 🙏

Agreed. I am so used to google calendar's task list/to-do list now it feels so weird. Also the '+' button to add event is recommended to move to bottom right like google, Its such a pain

I really want to switch over fully from google, however I will not be doing so until this feature is implemented. I need to have tasks to have a digital calendar be functional to me. Once this is implemented I would be happy to pay for premium service.
