Importing email from Gmail -> don't turn folders into labels
The mass import from Gmail to Proton Mail was great....except my extensive set of folders/sub folders got turned into one massive list of labels.
Please either make
(1) an option where a label category can be converted to a folder; or
(2) make it so Gmail folders are imported as folders with their nesting folders under them.
Having to convert everything manually is excruciatingly tedious.
Thank you for your consideration!

It should also be noted that from what I can tell this does not work properly when using mail interfaces like Thunderbird.
I have tried to move and to make new folders and Seem to be unable to
Please remedy this as quickly as possible

When forwarding emails during a migration from an email account (gmail, hotmail, etc) that is being retired or turned into a secondary, it would be nice to not use labels.
Personally, I hate label systems in email systems as they are clutter and noise to me. I think it would be of great use to users to have additional options when migrating, and the ability to update the "Easy Switch" settings to use the different options later on, with the following:
1: Creating a folder to direct forward emails to, instead of a label.
This way the inbox is not cluttered with old emails and users can then separate their emails in the Proton Mail system by natively sent to Proton Mail, and forward to Proton Mail. There are a lot of emails people get and might just gloss over what they are due to being use to them and forget if they are important or not, just slapping label on it won't necessarily help when new forwarded emails come in and keep things as they should be.
This will also add the benefit of users being able to identify which accounts they should update with their new proton mail as their primary email address for the account.
2: The ability have an "advanced" migration console where users can:
2a: Select to mark all emails before a specific date as read, regardless of what they are set as in the old email system. Just helps de-clutter everything and makes migration (at least in my experience) easier.
2b: Change the names of labels from the imported email system.
2c: Manage and update contact lists brought in from the email system, and the ability to sort contacts by last contacted date (if such a data pull is possible).
2d: The ability to save and see what rules and filters were applied in the old email system. Not necessarily apply them due to the high likelihood of there not being a 1:1 compatibility.
3: Separate out contact lists. This way, when migrating, the user can select which contacts are relevant still and add them to the Proton Mail contact list, while having a readable archive of old contacts, should they still need to find the contact.

I'm so glad I made the gmail -> proton with a pretty new gmail account because converting labels back to folders was a pain!
Please try to fix this so it does not happen in the first place, or make an option in the labels section of Proton mail to create a folder from a label and automatically move all emails with that label into the newly created folder.
