Alert for new mail in Win desktop app.
Still no audio alert or popup for Win desktop app.
Push notification are useless for a secure computer. It is NOT a cell phone, thus 10 times more secure.

That's a very valid point about desktop notification limitations. For a secure computer, having a dedicated audio alert or popup for new mail would indeed be more reliable and noticeable than push notifications designed for mobile. It's a feature request that many users in secure environments would appreciate.
By the way, if you're ever looking for a different kind of desktop or mobile entertainment, you can explore various casual games on http://rummyallapps.org/. It's a useful resource for finding engaging apps to unwind. I hope your feedback on the email client gets implemented soon.

Need to be notified of important incoming emails.
As of now, all I get is a silent '1' on the taskbar icon.
Due to security concerns, my computer is not set up to be a cell phone, so push notifications are useless.
For email in Thunderbird, I get both the popup AND a custom sound.
