I have still split my my events half in Proton and half in Google as I did not yet find a good solution.

I distinguish between two calendars:
- One for Events (like birthdays, meet colleague xy, holidays) => Everything I want to see on a monthly view, to be able to see when I am free
- One for small stuff I need to remember during the day (write back xy, book flight) => I want to view those on a schedule overview where they are just listed

I tried to do this in Proton Calendar with different calendars, but I never want to see both at the same time as it gets too crowded then. So to switch I need to toggle the calendars and switch the view, which is like 5 clicks, so too annoying to live with that. Also with app duplication features (like on Honor phones) it does not work as the current active view is synced into the account.

My proposal:
- Have some kind of layout feature where you can store the active view and simply switch between different views (active calendars, which view is active monthly, daily, etc).
- In the best case you can even make shortcuts to those layouts on the phones home screen.
- And even more great would be to have a different standard calendar set for new entries, depending on which layout is active.
