do not use windows action centre for reminders, design persistent reminder instead
Problem Description:
The Windows Proton app is working as intended, but that is not good enough. The Proton app uses the Windows notification feature to relay reminders to the user, and Windows can be configured to display the reminder for up to 5 minutes, after which it disappears. But it cannot be configured to remain displayed until dismissed by the user. The reminder always disappears after a short time, and if I'm not present at my PC at that time I will never see the reminder. I have missed several very, very important reminders because of this issue. That is the problem.
My Request:
Do not use Windows notification feature to relay reminders to the user, instead build that functionality into the Proton Windows app and enable reminders that remain visible until manually dismissed. The Microsoft Outlook application behaves this way and that is best.
How to Confirm Windows Behavior:
Windows10 > Settings > Ease of Access > Dismiss notifications after this amount of time
Windows does not offer the option of "Display until manually Dismissed".
The longest time they offer is 5 minutes. Windows11 is the same.

I consider this a broken feature. It's supposed to remind the user of an event, but fails to do so if the user is not present at their PC during the 5 minute window when the message is displayed. This is not an enhancement or an improvement request, it's a bug fix.
