Calender events prior to 1970
It is currently only possible to enter calendar events prior to or going back no further than 1970. This makes it difficult to enter birthdates when you wish to track the actual age of the person as well as historical events.
Implement option to enter dates prior to 1970 in Proton Calendar.

This sort of limit makes the product look like a school assignment project rather than a professionally engineered commercial app.

As ISO 8601 Dates, the RFC 5545 ICAL format, and JS Dates support dates before 1970, i believe it would be relatively simple to implement this change.
Additionally, not supporting dates before 1970 mean not supporting the RFC 5545 ICAL format entirely so it can be considered a bug

Not being able to add dates prior to 01/01/1970 is very frustrating.
I understand that the date is significant in computing history, but the use of this date as a cut-off for the calender seems entirely arbitrary.
Removing this arbitrary restriction would surely be trivial, as well.
So, please change the calendar so that we can add dates earlier than 01/01/1970.
Thank you

This limitation is preventing users from moving to Proton calendar completely. I still need to maintain Birthdays with actual years in another calender system. Please fix this arbitrary 1970 limitation.

I don't find the functionality useful. I believe that the need is to be able to have an automatic reminder for birthday, rather than simply an event.
