Events should overlap instead of always taking up separate columns
Like in google calendar, smaller events inside larger events should overlap on top of the larger event instead of forcing the larger event to be half of the column size. This makes it easier to view events at the same time. For example, I have "work" in my calendar, but I also have meetings throughout my day in my calendar. This causes work to become half-sized instead of just overlapping the meeting on top of the work event.

It would be amazing if there was the option to have overlapping events in the calendar, instead of them taking up their own half/third/quarter of the column.
I.e., having shorter calls/meetings within a long work block

It would be great if we could have overlapping events as an option in the calendar so it's less cluttered :)
For example, you could have shorter events within longer events, i.e. calls/meetings within a work block

One feature for viewing in proton Calendar that would be helpful is to allow events that occur simultaneously to display on top of one another, vs simply side by side. Such a feature would allow concurrent events to remain readable in week view.
