How can we improve Proton Mail?

  1. Make the highlight for the hovered over email higher contrast

    When looking at my inbox I will roll the mouse up and down the messages. It's very difficult to tell which message my mouse is over - the line above and below the email, that seperates emails, changes colour but the difference is so slight that it's difficult to be sure which email the cursor is currently over. The message itself should change colour rather than the seperators above and below it. Something a bit like how unread emails look, but with a different colour, of course.

  2. Expose contact notes field in sieve filter

    According to the Sieve documentation, when using an expression like:

    header :list "from" ":addrbook:personal?label=Your Contact Group"

    ... the matching variables will be altered. The matching variable ${0} will always contain the last email address contained in the specified list. If the list was marked with the note 1, the matching variable ${1} will contain the display name.

    I would like to see at least one more address book field exposed to the script. Having the Notes field populated into ${2}, would allow more information to be passed to the filter about the contact, which could be used to better process…

  3. Add 'Agenda' view to Proton Mail ('Today' view too limited)

    It would be great if we could have the Agenda view in Proton Mail (web) in the right sidebar. The one day 'Today' isn't a big enough window of time, and to consume a constant several hundred megabytes of extra RAM just to have better foresight of what's to come by opening Proton Calendar is unreasonable.

    I want to know what's on the horizon when I'm using Proton Mail and only open Proton Calendar when I need the weekly/month view or to make major edits. Maybe the 3 Day calendar view would also fit into the sidebar?

  6. Proton Pass Yubikey support

    So the new Proton Password manager is great n all but it needs better security on the browser extension.
    No Yubikey (or similar) support, using a pin to unlock rather than say a pass phase. Thankfully the app has biometrics.

  15. Allow resizing of the various fields and elements in the web app!

    I am running the Dyslexia font and even in compact mode, I can't see the full name of the senders in the inbox. Meanwhile, the subject line is HUGE and mostly empty.

    PLEASE allow resizing the sender field by dragging the border! And preferably various other elements as well, like the sidebar.

  16. Please add Download Attachments button also in the upper part of the reading pane...

    ... next to the Mark As Unread, Move To Trash, etc. buttons, so that it is not necessary to scroll down the entire message to get to its attachments in the bottom.
