So just lost an important draft on a misclick and found that the draft didn't end up in the trash folder.
Cool, so this is enough for me to delete my premium account and not use this service anymore...
Total move over to tutanota now. Though for the future, this should be implemented.

When original draft is created, I would like to be able to keep it until I decide to update it with the save button, and to be able to discard changes (which at present are saved automatically) if so I wish.
Remark already raised to the suppport team in past June. -
You cost me weeks of work commented
This is a major major feature flaw. I just lost weeks of work because of this. Frankly f you protonmail. Everyone expects drafts to be saved. If it gets deleted it should go into the deleted folder. That's the way every other mail system has ever worked. Hypothetically protonmail it is more secure but it is not feature complete and dangerously so.

Well spread the wealth, the same just happened to me after 5 hours work. Poof. the eMail input screen cleared itself, However, I did have a copy pasted in Notepad therefore nothing was lost but the "shock" that it happened in the first place. ProtonMail needs an "Auto Draft Save" feature that saves every few minutes.

I spent one hour working on a draft email and unknowingly touched some key and the draft was gone and it was unrecoverable. I have no idea what I did to completely erase everything I worked on and when I went back to the drafts folder to find the draft that I was religiously saving was gone and the empty page was saved. You really need a function that will allow drafts to be recovered. It would also really helpful if you let people know that touching some unknown key in the middle of typing an email will irredeemably erase your work and you will never get it back. What is the "immediately destroy all your work key"?

I opened a long draft in the app, made no changes, left to the inbox again. There was a pop-up asking if I would like to save my changes. I tapped NO as I had made none. So IT DELETED THE ENTIRE DRAFT!?

I was using Protonmail app for Android, it froze as I was trying to open one draft and when I closed the app and ran it again, the entire message just disappeared. Any help would be much appreciated.

Was typing a long draft (response) - hit a wrong key, and entire hi-lighted letter was GONE, in a flash. Some kind of 'undo' would be helpful (or saved draft / versions / revisions) to recover.
