Could the column that has new message, in box etc. etc be flexible so that it could be made narrower thereby increasing the message reading area?
And could the composer be maximised more so that the whole email can be typed?

I agree. The scrollbar on the right of the list of emails is too thin and hard to click.

I have the same problem. Sides of email are cut off, I have to scroll side to side read. :-/

I agree. I'm just getting familiar with my new account and I've been trying to do this too. It's much better for me to have this flexibility.

Also - a slide bar along the bottom of the email pane in the inbox please (horizontal so we can move the view in the email left and right) At the moment we can only move the view up and down with the up / down slide bar on the right.

Both of these inprovements would help to get a more comfortable view especially as I enlarge the type size for easier and more relaxed reading when I'm reading my emails.

Absolutely. Surprised this isn't standard. And the horizontal scroll bar is hard to find on long messages.

Modern UI's seem to want to hide the scrollbar controls by making them as skinny as possible. Please give users the option to specify the width of the scrollbar control elements so that users can widen them to allow easier selection and control of scrolling controls.

The 'folder' column takes up way too much space.
Provide a way to reduce the size by moving the right border of the box .. to the left ... simple way is to right click on the border, hold down while sliding it to where you want it.

Please Make PM Left Folder Column Collapsible. It takes up far too much space.

Adjustable windows would allow us to have in the view what we need and wen emails arrive like half of mine are, bigger than the window, we could adjust this. The only other thing we could do is give us adjustable fonts so we can shrink things down and see the whole email not just part of it.

I am throwing my vote in the hat for this feature as well. The center column is WAY too wide for my preference. Please make this happen!!!

Need: To control the display of the mailbox/folders column
Solution: A toggle switch to anchor (display) the column or to allow hiding
Action: Toggle switch off, column collapses to far left of screen with just a tab (or nothing) showing. When the mouse cursor is hovered on the left edge of the screen (or tab clicked) the column is displayed.

Toggle switch on, the column is locked and does not collapse

This would allow users to work with the mailboxes/folders efficiently when needed and to remove from view to increase space to view the message(s)
