Rules to move incoming e-mails in a folder
Il could be useful to get rules in order to automatically move incoming e-mails in a folder!

It would be great if it was possible to configure the automatic movement of incoming messages to certain folders.
For example, set up automatic movement to a folder based on the sender or keywords from the subject of the message.

I agree with all the previous comments. The first point for me would be to move incoming emails to specific folders based on:
- sender address
- sender name
- email address sent to (using one mail client receiving mail addressed to several different mail addressesIn addition to that it seems imperative (to me at least), to choose a different signature and 'reply to' email address

I think we're long overdue for a robust rules system that can sort both incoming and existing folders based on a series of user defined filters such as sender address, recipient address (some folks use SimpleLogin and have many recipient addresses), date/time, subject keywords, content keywords, etc. and allow for the rules to be stacked in a series, so for instance an email comes from Indeed - Rule 1 sorts it to an "Job Search" folder; the Subject has "Systems Admin" in the subject so Rule 2 moves it to an "IT" folder within the Job Search folder; the message body suggests the recipient choose a Calendly date/time for a Zoom call interview so Rule 3 stars the message and triggers either a desktop or mobile app notification that an automatically starred message has been received and is in the Job Search/IT folder with a hotlink to take the user directly to it.
This is but one pretty simple example of what can be done with some mostly basic rule automation- don't get me started on what could be baked in with the ML/LLM love ;) And, besides, until you can approach a Gmail level of user convenience, you're not going to get the kind of migration you're looking for. You need user convenience and highly integrated applications. Calendar has to integrate heavily with Mail (and the rules system I'm suggesting! Imagine having ML/LLM check your schedule, reply to the email for you, schedule your interview as requested (based on your predefined availability), sort it into the correct folder location so you can find it, add the whole thing to your calendar, and pop a notification and maybe an SMS reminder that all this has happened! Strong application integration + convenience + Proton's historic privacy stance = A REAL GOOGLE COMPETITOR that folks are WAY BETTER OFF using!!

agree with comments. impossible to make efficient use of number of accounts we can create in order to categorize life elements if all email from all addresses ends up in the same inbox.

I CANNOT believe this is still NOT available in March 2023!

Would it be possible to send specific emails based on sender into a dedicated folder so they do not clutter the inbox and can be sorted through at a convenient time?

This is the first crucial feature that I noticed is missing in ProtonMail!

This would be a very good feature, I use it all the time to keep my emails organized rather than everything lumped in one huge basket or having to manually move them around. thank you

Yea... what if you just use the filters that can move incoming emails in a folder?
