spell checker for writing emails.
A spell checker has been available on almost all email accounts for the past 2 decades, but not on yours. Come on, get in tune with the 21st century and for all those who don't have brains enough to spell correctly in the first place.

Spell check is essential for any email system.. This should be a given feature...

Yes, a spellchecker is needed! Everything else about Protonmail is terrific, and I'm surprised to see that this hasn't been included....I'm not even getting my (very few) mis-spellings underlined...

Ditto - there needs to be spell-check. Your app flags misspelled words, but I can't find a way to correct them. What's with that?

LanguageTool is an excellent Addon for both Chrome and Firefox and allows for more than merely 1 language to choose from.
Of course, the quality of the service can only be guaranteed if there is some online (cloud) activity involved within which the actual functionality of checking takes place.
But even though the company confirms that the encryption process starts within the addon and not only at the server site, I would not like to bring anything else into ProtonMail where I am not to 100 % familiar and easy with.
Therefore, I would like the ProtonMail development team to ponder the option, here already much sought after, to create an orthography and grammar checking service of its own for the benefit of the homogeneity of ProtonMail within its core structures.
Best regards
Markus

This would be a very useful feature to have turned on especially when typing.

There appears to be a spellcheck because a dotted red line appears under some words. However, I do not know how to accept an unusual word's spelling ("add to dictionary")--please inform me how to do so. Thank you.

When will you introduce a spellchecker? It's embarassing without one. Thanks.

Is that true?? I've been looking everywhere assuming I just have been missing it. You even have spell check on this comment page, so you have GOT to have it on your email system!!
