Filtered message expiration
ProtonMail has an existing message expiration feature. It would be helpful to expose this feature to Sieve and/or the basic filter system. This would allow automatic deletion of ephemeral notification emails, like package delivery notifications.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Too bad it has such a low vote count.
My use case: I currently use filters to capture all emails coming from subscribed newsletters, some daily, weekly, monthly, etc. I would love to be able to read through all of them, but I don't. It would be great to simply update the existing filter (that currently labels and moves to a folder) to also apply a 30 day expiration on these same emails. Helps keep the inbox clean.

Indeed -- The message expiration needs to be made to be a 1st class feature across the board, with support in all parts of the engine (options to customize whether to expire a message from the point of delivery or point of message opening, whether to "expire" also means to delete it or just move it into another folder to meet legal records keeping requirements, etc.) & user interface (availability from all UI views where one or more messages are accessed, including bulk expiration in the list of messages and part of the non-scrolling action bar, support for keyboard shortcuts to set/unset pre-configured expiration date offsets or any random date-time, etc.)

This would be perfect for news, forum, or other subscriptions that you'd like to get daily, but if you don't read them then they can be deleted automatically 5 days, 7 days, 15 days, or 30 days later to keep your storage from filling with emails. Makes life simpler.
