Automatic categorization for newsletters, promotions, updates like gmail
Could you please make tabs for "promotions," "updates," etc., like Gmail has?

I'll echo everyone else and say this is an important feature

Mail sorting like Gmail, your inbox will be split up into different tabs, such as 'Primary', 'Social', 'Promotions' and 'Updates'.
Any updates, receipts, delivery etc will be sent to updates. Social forum emails and promotional emails will be assorted to their counterpart tabs. Primary emails will be actual conversational emails directed solely to you.I have never found an email service, other than gmail, that offers this feature and it is game changer. It makes it so much easier to see your emails and not lose track of emails sent to you.

Agreed with the below, I am surprised this doesn't have more votes, as it's one of the most useful things that I see gmail as added value in my life.

This is the most important feature for me, although I come from HEY email which is a bit different with a special "Feed" section. For every sender email, you decide if they end up in your Feed or in your Imbox. I love that feature because it allows me to not have a cluttered inbox and only the actual important stuff gets routed to there. The Feed also allows me to easily scroll through the feed without having to enter each email as they are already expanded and opened, like a .. feed :)

shout it from the rooftops. This is the one feature missing from Proton Mail that prevents me from switching from gmail.

Everyone know the problem of your inbox being swamped by emails, promotions etc even though you never checked the box during signup. Would be huge help if those are auto-categorized like GMail supports.

It is really surprising to me that this doesn't have more votes. This is one of the biggest omissions on Proton Mail for me, ever since I've switched to it from Gmail my inbox feels so much more swamped than before.
