msg count in labels
I occasionally audit my labels and get rid of labels that have zero msgs attached to them. It would be nice if I could see the msg count for a label in the edit label screen. Currently I have to go through each label in the mail screen and note the labels that are empty and then go into the edit label screen and get rid of them.

I am also joining the idea. I would like to see the message count in each label, since I am using a follow up label like many. It doesn't matter to me if it is configurable or not, but the message count is very important to me since it makes it way easier to navigate and focus my attention on important stuff. Also with the message count I would be sure to not forget items I have labeled and it' faster to label than to move to a folder.

This should be configurable per label and visible under labels
For example:
Receipts - Configured not to show count
Follow Up (2) - Configured to show count -

Showing the number of items on a label in the label structure will do for me. I use labels as for example "needs reply", "needs action (from me)", "Waiting on reaction", "Waiting for delivery" etc. With a number of items displayed I know in a blink of an eye I have work to do (or not ;-)).

It could be a good information to know how many messages remains in a specific label for example : FollowUp

High counts would be significant to me, they would suggest I need multiple more specific labels.
