Optionally hide spam email count badge
Hi!
I would really love the option to hide the count badge from the spam email folder. I frequently mistake it for another folder that I actually care about, and click on it.
With the count badge hidden, the spam folder would be less distracting.
Thanks!

Agreed that the count is distracting. I even occasionally click it without thinking, open a SPAM email without realizing it, and was left believing the contents of the email for a second before catching myself. Which completely defeats the point of a SPAM filter. SPAM needs to be un-intrusive, not trying to catch my attention. Also, the OCD side of me means that must clear out the SPAM folder daily to get rid of that number!

I would really like this feature. The Spam folder count is distracting. I need to clean it all the time. I would only go in Spam if I know some important email is missing

I would really like if we could remove the badge number of unread email in spam. it's very stressful to so a number increasing while I would never open the spam folder to set them all as read.

Absolutely, I would vote more than 3 if I can. The spam folder should be something that does not distract the user at all. Right now it's even more distracting, I don't see the difference if they show up in the Inbox with a "spam" label on them.
Hide the badge, or just mark them read automatically would solve that.

In fact I would like to hide the spam folder itself, and have a option like Gmail 'Show more'

Seconding this, thanks for suggesting it. I came here to post exactly that suggestion. I keep clicking on it and just seeing spam, which is super distracting. I prefer to review my spambox once in a while to see if any legit email got caught, not look at it every time a new spam comes in.

Yes please! Would help Spam be less distracting in the quest for Inbox Zero.

I second this. Please allow us to hide the count from the spam folder. It's very annoying and most of the time there actually isn't anything important there that would justify me to see the count. I periodically review my spam folder so I don't need the number to be displayed immediately and always.

having an unread count for the spam filter is aggrivating and distracting. there should be at least an option to hide the unread number in the folder. if it's in spam then i don't care about it, and if it is important then i'll check the spam folder eventually or be contacted in some other way.
