Android parity to iOS app
Hello!
Please speed up the development of your android application. Your iOS app has features that are not in the Android app. It just seems like a shame. Could you please speed up adding anti-tracking features (tracker blocking and picture uploads with IP hiding) to the android app as well? It would also be desirable to add the toolbar customization feature as well.
Please note that all these features are already available in iOS application, while there are practically no innovations in Android application. This is just a shame and shame for such a huge company.

The iOS app has the option to disable "swipe actions" so you're not accidentally moving your emails to Spam or Archive, etc. This option has been on the iOS app for over TWO YEARS.
PLEASE update the Android app.

I'd like to see the Android Protonmail app have the ability to swipe between emails. The iOS version has this feature. Very handy to scan through the mail in each of my folders.

The anti-tracking feature for Android Email App should be a MUST and prioritized for implementation as this is one of the reasons Proton users opted in for . Why IOS benefit and the HUGE Android community does not? Please give us this functionality that normally should have been there from the start... Kind regards!

I totally agree - the differences are annoying - especially on Android the "undo delete" functionality for email is vital. Protonmail must be the only email service on Android without that functionality which is pretty basic for any email app these days
And please tell the community when the android app will be upgraded. clearly lots of people are voting for it and you seemingly arent listening!

in general, having the same set of features across platforms & versions really helps in creating a great UX
the reason for the version mention is, in the recent prod/stable version (5.2.40.2) of proton VPN for android the 'connect to random server' feature is removed, without any explanation or timeline on when it be added back!
while this is my favorite feature & already available in previous version of android app & in desktop app !!!

The possibility to cancel the sending of emails? The feature was announced in 2020 and is currently only available for web and iOS

The ability to block email tracking in the Android app is critically important for me.

the worst thing about the Proton services is the apps on Android from my perspective. They are ugly ducklings and lack basic Android theming such as AMOLED black. The development of these apps seems either slow or nonexistant. Makes me sad every time I open my email. Further, the app lacks a left side folder pane so on tablets or in Dex mode it is even more terrible.

Months ago on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/11rq0e3/enhanced_email_tracking_protection_on_android/?rdt=32954
So, it’s obvious tracker protection is a thing also for androids users (bummer). How can this feature not be included? I really don’t get it. Even @duck forwarding has this, I mean come on.

Its been pretty bad, so much I've had the best experience on android by loading protonmail in the browser on mobile. Its much better, if only slightly slower- but its proton everything is slow. Try it guys, your messages are actually grouped, everything is easier to navigate.

This is potentially going to stop me renewing my subscription if it isn't addressed soon

Yes I agree, was just about to pay for a sub when I started to look into what is coming and it seems alittle stagnant. I'm also looking at Skiff which seems to be much more active

So strange… Why iOS has a priority?

Totally agree. Why should we pay if they can’t develop Android app properly
