Minimize desktop app to system tray

Ability to minimize Proton Mail Desktop app to the system tray (notification area) to keep it from taking up space on the taskbar.

Icon in notification should show unread message count.

    I'm tired of having to open Proton Mail every time I start Windows. Sure, I can just set Proton Mail as a startup program and then minimize it, but this opens the entire client and from looking at the task manager, it uses a lot of CPU while running. It's bad for my laptop battery.

    Why can't it have an icon like Drive and VPN?

    I recently started using protonmail desktop, and this is the main gripe I have with it. I want the option to click on X and the programme to minimise to the tray.

    The only reason I downloaded to desktop app was for this functionality, and I'm floored it's not there.

    Without a mail client is mandatory (I use Emclient and Bridge is fuzzy)

    Should be easy to implement considering Pass, Drive and VPN already has this.

    This feature is essential, along with the ability to open the program automatically when the computer starts.

    This should be basic functionality for every email app. It baffles me that this is still not a thing yet.

    The Proton Bridge Linux version has a small icon (tray), so it would be nice if this were also slowly introduced for other applications under Linux and others.

    We have been waiting a long time, and currently the icon takes up a lot of space in the taskbar, even though it only runs in the background.

    Why has this not been added yet? The ability to minimise to system tray and provide a count of unread emails is ESSENTIAL!

    I Like Proton very much but not having the ability to minimize is a dealbreaker. Outlook is still better in this regard.

    Yes, PLEASE make this happen. I want the app to be my default-default mailing app and without this feature it's practically impossible.
