Automatically detect language for spell check
I write emails using both English and French. My browser has several dictionaries installed, but Proton Mail spell checker doesn't seem to know the difference.
What would be neat is if Proton Mail could recognise the typed language (as for instance MS Outlook does), and do spell check accordingly.

This is the only thing that prevents me from using the desktop app. Even a manual language switch in the right-click menu would be fine.

Similar problem, I write e-mails in English and German and only English gets checked in the Desktop App (Linux). There is even an "add dictionary" button but it does nothing. Though what Adriana suggests would be good enough (as long as German is there :P).

Yes, definitely.
Also a contextual menu with the most used languages will do the work. -

I would already be happy if I could manually select the language of the spell checker. This for me at this point in time the biggest drawback of the Proton Mail destop app.
