Please also create a task app with a widget

The only reason I am not moving away from Google Calendar is that Proton Calendar is missing tasks.
Simply go and copy from Google Calendar. It seems like the simple feature to add.

It would be great if we could create a task that shows up on the calendar and once we complete it, it will disappear or be greyed out or crossed out. It would also be great if we could have an option to add tasks in a calendar appointment. Also a widget specifically for tasks would be great so that we can just check them off from there.

That would be really great. A task management with memories, recurring tasks and extra smartphone app.

I use, for now, "Remember the milk", a non USA/Russia/China application.
Nice if possible to use under the roof of Proton. -

https://www.todoist.com/fr/task-management seems to be doing exactly what I imagine but I guess its integration in Proton may not be super straightforward so I would love it if Proton Calendar could have some similar feature... This is basically the main thing I use my calendar for and it's currently really not practical (having to set a previous timing when an event is done or having to delete it, while a tick removing notifications and marking that the event has been dealt with would be really really really nice! It's been a while we have been asking for this, I hope it gets integrated. It's much more practical than Lumo or other fancy features on my view

It would be very useful as a separate app within proton ecosystem with inter-app integration (e.g. display tasks with dates in Calendar, link files/documents in drive etc.)

It would be perfect to see it in protonmail. As I can see the email templates' votes will not be the next feature.
To-do list is also good option to store templates. So yes please. -

I would definitely use a To-Do List. But please don't integrate it into an existing app, just have it standalone.

Something integrated (like Trello) would be very useful. Creating tasks from inbox, drag tasks to calendar, add notes to a task.

When will this feature come out? Looks like it's been discussed for years.

I'm solely interested if I can nest indefinitely, attach media, it supports a versatile markup language (like CommonMark's HTML superset), and it's CalDAV-compliant.

It would be helpful to be able to convert a task into an event and vice versa.

This is absolutely critical for business use but it MUST include a reminder system that can also be linked to emails or offer the option to attach an email or file.

I sort of initiated this subject a few years ago. At some point they made some changes to the way the forum works and I was never able to get to my original post. Anyway, I couldn't agree more with gnasthey37 comments.
For years, we (paying users) have been asking for this feature as it's the only little piece missing to finally get rid of Google and Microsoft for good. Embedded very deep in a roadmap shared by Proton early in the year, they said to be working in a huge overhaul of the bundle which would finally include this feature. I sort of remember they were targeting Q3, 2025. Hopefully that plan is timely executed despite all the distractions (wallet, authenticator, ai, etc.). -

They released Lumo, which no one asked for and requires being paid independantly from Unlimited or higher plans that are supposed to have premium Proton services included with them, I get the idea of Lumo given the advances in AI currently and it's good to have a privacy focused AI, they also released Authenticator, which also no one asked for, but I get the idea of it too, they also released Wallet which also no one asked for, we haven't had any news about Standard Notes either, nor about apps that are actually requested like this Tasks apps, a lot of people including me are still forced to use Google Tasks or similar apps that are in no way private because Proton are focusing on things no one asked for and not actually doing what paying customers need
Don't you guys notice the path you're going with? Too many services to manage, too many services that require independant payments, no one asked for Lumo to begin with and now you're causing confusion about whether it should be included in Unlimited and making unlimited a bit more expensive or not since not everyone uses AI
Please focus on the more important services paying people ask for, Lumo is fine, Wallet is already included in Unlimited, Authenticator doesn't need a subscription, so now please focus on actual services that we ask for and include them with Unlimited, thanks
