Blackberry App
Blackberry App
We have the ability to create a Blackberry app, but are focused instead on iOS and Android. We may build one later this year, or explore the idea of opening our API for the community to build one instead.

I highly agree with everyone. I recently purchased a PM subscription to get away from Google. But I also want to go back to my BB Classic or buy a Passport. It would be great if you can use it through BB10 Hub.

Please make a BB10 native app, in order to integrate it into the BB10 Hub (not the Android Hub) ! It would be awesome !
Protonmail is a very effective mailbox, it needs to be integrated into productivity phones like Blackberry10 phones. I'm sure there are still many Crackberry users nowadays, who would be delighted of this app. -

So......? Are we going to get to use Protonmail on BlackBerry in 2020? Something seems a bit conspiratorial when the most secure operating system & email service wont work together. People are buying up all available passports & classics just to make sure they have backups. I would think protonmail would want the customer base... I don't care about a app but can you at least make protonmail work with the browser as it did before? Or should I change my email address...?

BB10 with hub integration would be great, but if not, just a apk that can be sideloaded and work on BB10 (none of the apks I can find will launch) with a direct download (not through the play store) would at least be better than nothing. (It would also help those running more secure custom ROMs and phones of major manufactures that were recently banned by Google.)

Echoing Samdavanita, a Blackberry app or ability to use Protonmail through the Blackberry hub would be greatly appreciated.

I also am on BlackBerry 10 and use ProtonMail. Worked fine until a few months ago when version 1.8 of the ProtonMail android app was discontinued. I can use ProtonMail with a sideloaded browser, but the process is very cumbersome compared to the Android app. Please allow version 1.8 of the android app again, fix the android app on BlackBerry 10, or fix it with the BlackBerry 10 browser. BlackBerry phones are made for security conscious people, like ProtonMail.

Hi, I use BlackBerry OS 10 for business and privacy. In 2014 and 2015 you said that you would have made your evaluations about the possibility of developing something for BB. Using the browser is a waste of time. I'm constrained to use your app on an android phone literally under control and this is humiliating nowadays for me. News? None. BB is dead, no probs, no stuff.
I'm searching for an alternative. If found, I will reconsider my subscription. -

Have been a paid customer for ProtonMail since the beginning as are several members of my family. We also use BlackBerry phones as they are the best phones for privacy. We suggested a BlackBerry App several years ago and have been patiently waiting for one. Until recently, we have been forced to use the website login. However, just 2 months ago, access to the website login failed and has not been fixed. We get the message "Incorrect login credentials... etc." As paying customers, we are strongly requesting a solution, which is to simply create a BlackBerry App or to repair your website to stop blocking our attempts to login from our BlackBerry phones so we can continue to enjoy the benefits of our multi-paid services. Thank you.

So, you advertise yourselves as a secure service but only support the least secure OS? Way to go...ProtonMail? Deleting now!

I recently became very concerned with security on iOS, so I switched to Android using Lineage OS. Upon switching, I found that Lineage still dials out a lot, even when using only MicroG. Neither Android in its most stripped down form or iOS are acceptable for personal security and privacy. I am now moving to a BBOS10 based device, as it seems to be the last available secured device. I know BBOS10 is officially EOL'd by BB, but there are still plenty of users that will stick by the platform. I personally am ordering 3x new Classics. One for use now, and the other two as backups for the future. With care, I'll be able to use BBOS10 for at least 6 more years, possibly 10 or 12!
Please give us ProtonMail for BB. I know it will work through the browser, but that is a poor experience.
Thanks,
Derek -

Thank you for making an email service the way it should be. Developing easy Blackberry access would bring the best of both worlds together.

Blackberry better for Business work, Android / Apple great for user friendly experience. I have both but would like my Proton Mail on both as well

Totally agree. Please proton developer team provide urgently a bb10 app. Even down here, New Zealand close to Antarctica, there are still BB10 users who have grave concerns as to how little privacy there is once a information is put into other phones.
