How can we improve Proton Mail?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  2. sub-folders

    ProtonMail must add a feature to set sub-folders into other folders; this is an indispensable feature for any top tier email provider ....

  4. Don't require two factor auth on trusted browser

    Once I've entered a 2FA code in a browser, it would be good to have an option to trust the browser and not require the code next time.

    The Android app already seems to do this - it only required a 2FA code the first time I signed in, but the browser requires it every time.

  5. When sending/reading an email show if the email was sent/received securely

    Gmail has this feature where we can see if it's secure or not.

  6. Being able to create custom folders

    You seem to believe that the ability to add folders is "Completed" by telling people to use labels. Color labels just don't cut it.

    All the emails will still reside in my inbox or archive. Every other internet email service offers the option to create custom folders, why not Protonmail? This issue has come up again and again from the start.

  7. Add ability to run newly created filters against existing mail

    Can you please make it so we can run newly created filters against existing mail? Ideally based off the same criteria we can search on, applied retroactively.

  8. I need to set up Auto Responder (Out of Office) for my account. This is a necessary feature for me. Thank you so much.

    In order to guarantee that there is no delay with responding to emails, most email hosting sites have an auto responder (out of office) option to send an automated message in a reply email, as soon as an inbox is received. This is a necessary feature for me and I will greatly appreciate you providing this standard feature. Thank you so much again for your prompt assistance.

  9. Import email from yahoo, hotmail, google etc

    Please have ability to import your emails from yahoo, hotmail, google etc and have the option to keep a copy on your yahoo account etc as a backup if you wish.

  10. Aliases like GMAIL

    Hello,
    What about improve the aliases system?
    If you see on gmail you can use username+everythingyouwant@gmail.com and you keep receive them.
    This can be useful for who like me need to register multiple accounts with same email.

  12. Migration assistant

    Would be nice to have a migration assistant for users to make the switch from other email clients

    Also an iphone app, voice calling, and other web-based apps similar to google docs and fusion tables etc
