Firewall support within ProtonVPN
If possible, I would like for some basic Firewall settings to be built into ProtonVPN as I can't run both NetGuard (a Firewall only app that acts as a local VPN) and ProtonVPN at the same time on an un-rooted Android phone.
I am mainly looking for the ability to block certain apps from having access to WiFi / Mobile Data.

This is a really important feature to control what apps can access the internet and what not.

I would like to see a full-featured firewall,Windows-Androids-ipads, preferably built into the VPN, and also one that is pre-set like the ones that are already out there.

Yes I agree, this si essential to intercept privacy issues with windows / android. I use portmaster with proton VPN, but would be great to integrate it, its free and opensource

ProtonVPN for Android should have a built-in firewall that controls which apps should access the internet and which shouldn't.
Something like Netguard app, which is very important for a user who want to limit some apps or Google services from reaching the internet as these services are constantly sending information in the background.

This is absolutely critical! I'd like to block certain apps (especially Gboard) from any access to the Internet. This can also result in an "unexpected" revenue stream for Proton since blocking TW / Metamask / etc. "hot" cryptocurrency wallet from the Internet will basically made it a "cold" one, thus rendering useless expensive flash drives like Ledger et al.

Same here. It would be GREAT to be able to use NetGuard AND ProtonVPN at the same time. As a paying user of both services, I'd like to see at least an answer from Proton here. Thanks.
