Peer-to-Peer Mesh Networking with NAT Traversal
Enables direct peer-to-peer VPN networking, like Tailscale or ZeroTier. This would allow devices on my Proton VPN account to see and connect to each other using private IPs, as if on the same LAN.
This kind of functionality would be very helpful for cloud gaming, remote development, and device syncing, without needing a third-party solution.
Specifically, I’m asking for:
Private IPs for each device on the VPN
Peer-to-peer connectivity with NAT traversal
Optional routing via Proton servers when needed
Thank you for all your amazing work — this feature would make Proton VPN even more powerful.

This seems redundant in my opinion. Why not just get a solution like Tailscale then?
Why deform Proton into something it isn't, when there are free experienced/advanced and highly specialized solutions already out there being maintaned?

Minecraft keeps evolving with frequent "game drops" and patches. The Minecraft 26.0 patch (also known as Bedrock Edition 1.26.0), released February 10, 2026, marks a major milestone as the first update under Mojang's new year-based versioning system. Versions in 2026 start with "26" for both Bedrock and Java Editions, making updates easier to track. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vSbPZ_GZtPyzS6PtTaKkrBQNHDgf0nB7pexEowPI33yHy5CSLVtvBUHRUdkmoq281VJBNoRASEIw4H3/pubhtml

This is a fantastic feature idea that could make Proton VPN even more powerful for advanced users. Peer-to-peer mesh networking with NAT traversal would greatly improve connectivity for cloud gaming, remote development, and seamless device syncing. Tools like Torrentio https://torrentiodwnload.com/ also show how powerful peer-to-peer technology can be when optimized for fast and efficient content delivery.

One of the most important features for me to access my devices (desktop mostly) while I'm away since my ISP forces me to use its router and I don't have a fixed IP

Improving Proton VPN could focus on making the service faster, easier to use, and more accessible for different types of users. One important improvement would be expanding the number of servers and locations to provide better connection speeds and reduce congestion. Enhancing the user interface across desktop and mobile apps could also make navigation simpler for beginners. Adding more advanced customization options, such as improved split tunneling and connection automation, would benefit power users.https://sites.google.com/view/minecraftpatchdownload/home

Peer-to-peer mesh networking with NAT traversal would be a powerful addition to Proton VPN. Private IPs for each device and direct connectivity — similar to Tailscale or ZeroTier — would improve cloud gaming, remote development, and secure device syncing. Optional routing via Proton servers would make it even more flexible. You can see how we value performance-focused platforms at https://apkbussimulatorindo.com/

As you said, this is already implemented entities such as Tailscale. The purpose behind protons vpn is different (evading geo restriction / censorship, privacy, anonymity, and security from malicious networks)

I would love to see this so I could keep my devices synced with notifications and other things. having an optional solution for ZeroTier would be very helpful especially on Android where I can't run two separate VPNs simultaneously
