Split Tunneling and Kill Switch
ProtonVPN Topic "How to use advanced kill switch" states that "On most platforms, kill switch (Advanced or Standard) is not compatible with split tunneling. If you have split tunneling turned on, you’ll need to turn it off to use a kill switch". I don't know what ProtonVPN means by most VPN's, but I have been able to activate Split Tunneling simultaneously with Kill Switch on numerous VPN's on my iMac, ie: PIA VPN, SurfsharkVPN, NordVPN, and ExpressVPN. Hopefully ProtonVPN will correct this problem for Mac as it's available for Windows. It's very unsafe to not have a Kill Switch and Advance Kill Switch activated, thus preventing to use Split Tunneling securely using ProtonVPN.

I agree. Considering also that app like the Android TV/Fire TV doesn't even have the kill switch... I mean it's simply ridiculous for a VPN that claims to be super safe, no logs and yadda yadda..
Not even a f***** kill switch, c'mon...
