1. Add Saved Profiles for Linux ProtonVPN App

   Many of the ideas still relate to wanting a GUI app for Linux (well we have a good one now for a while already), and one asking for a Default Profile.

   But what we don't have, and the other OS clients do have for a while, is saved Profiles to select and do a quick connect.

   Reason is I have a service or two that I know works well with a specific server in a country, but I always have to go and find it by scrolling down through over 100 servers.

   I know there is the CLI but my wife is not going to use that, and sometimes the primary choice is down for maintenance or you need to choose another that does work. I am a paying subscriber and would at least like to get a similar functionality to what Windows and Android have.

3. What is the point of VPN profiles, if you cannot save the most essential connection settings into them?

   When I use the VPN for everyday web surfing, checking emails, or streaming Netflix, I do not use features like split-tunnel, port-forwarding, or NAT moderation.
   When I use the VPN for P2P file sharing (torrent), instead, I do need to activate the three features I just mentioned.

   Therefore, at the moment I have to open the application settings and change these three manually every single time.

   What is the point of allowing users to setup connection profiles for different purposes, if you cannot save essential connection settings that are clearly an advantage for some of those purposes (that you designed profiles for), and clearly a disadvantage (if not a risk) for others?

   Please introduce the ability to save into each profile different settings for the split-tunnel, port-forwarding, and NAT moderation features.

4. Linux systemd-networkd Wireguard DNS config

   Please add a flag to generate Wireguard configs which work with systemd-networkd. Especially the DNS settings are tricky. To get it to work I always have to replace the DNS config with:

   PostUp = resolvectl dns %i <dns server ip>; resolvectl domain %i "~."; ip route add <server ip> via <iface ip>; sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.all.disableipv6=1
   PreDown = resolvectl revert %i; ip route del <server ip>; sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.all.disableipv6=0

   I believe this is a quick fix and it would make using wireguard configs easier.

6. User Defined Server Rollover Limit

   Issue: regardless of type of internet use, like browsing, reading news, watching videos, etc, there are an increasing number of times (w time of day and app popularity) that I notice huge lag. I check and see that the server is at 80% or above. If I change server, problem solved. I would LOVE to set a usage limit that, when reached, switches to the fastest available server! I feel like it ought to be implemented already, actually. So, if it's not being worked on, then I think that this would greatly benefit both users and servers from getting bandwidth bogged.

7. Allow importing custom config in Proton VPN app

   As of now, the open-source Proton VPN app is usable only for Proton users and requires a Proton account. This could be changed. Please consider allowing the import of third-party OpenVPN and Wireguard config files without the need for Proton account creation and sign-in. One of your competitors Windscribe has this feature on their app.

9. Smart Locations (url-specific VPN) for browser extension

   Zenmate has a function called Smart Locations for its browser extension. You can have the extension switched either on or off for the browser, but the extension has the option to automatically activate for specific URL's you have designated as a Smart Location with a specific country location for each URL. That is, you could have one browser instance running where different tabs would appear to be connected to a different server as per how you designate the individual url's (i.e. geo fenced US content in one tab and geo fenced German content in another tab).

   This feature is unique to Zenmate, however the company was just aqcuired by GhostVPN and it is unclear if the feature will remain. I would switch to Proton VPN instantly if it had this function.

    It would be great to have the ability to add custom domains to the ad-blocker. Either manually or through lists like those on filterlists.com

    There are some apps that does it like Blokada (but I don't trust them enough to upgrade to their paid VPN)

    I want the ProtonVPN app to run in the background without cluttering the dock. Having the icon with the dropdown in the top bar is more than enough for 99% of use cases

15. Generate QR for Wireguard Configuration

    Allow the creation and display of Wireguard (OVPN too if the clients allow it too) configuration QR Codes.

    So it's easy to setup a configuration on one machine (desktop for exemple) and use it on other (mobiles), without having to login with the web interface or share the configuration files.
