Add a censorship-resitant technology such as V2RAY or UPD-over-TCP.
Mullvad VPN uses Wireguard obfuscation (UDP2TCP). IVPN on iOS uses V2RAY. Those protocols allows to reliably bypass censorship. Proton on the other hand only has Stealth, which is unreliable and often disconnects.
Request : Add a censorship-resitant technology such as V2RAY or UPD-over-TCP.

burner numbers
Can Proton VPN add a feature so we can add a burner number when needed, so we can make calls anonymously to
keep our primary number hidden and our conversations untraceable, ensuring our identity always stays protected?Best regards,

Check Traffic Challan Online with Ease
Keeping track of traffic fines is an important part of responsible vehicle ownership. Instead of waiting for a paper notice or visiting a traffic office, drivers can use online resources to learn how eChallan systems work, understand traffic violation records, and review information about checking challan status. Online guides can also explain common terms, the details typically included in a challan, and the general process for verifying traffic fine information. Staying informed helps drivers respond to legitimate notices on time and maintain accurate vehicle records.
If you're looking for a simple guide to understanding eChallan services and traffic fine checks,…

ProtonVPN CLI on Boot (systemd)
Launching ProtonVPN on Boot
Linux users often uses a dedicated machine to store local services.
It is very important for us to have the ability to enable VPN and Killswitch feature before connecting to Internet.Actually, It is possible to configure a systemd service using Wireguard config or OpenVPN config but no KillSwitch feature is ready "out of the box", but It would be very nice to have an OpenVPN CLI that can be used on systemd.

Show Hosting Provider Info in Server List
Please add hosting provider info directly in the ProtonVPN app, displayed alongside the server name (e.g. PL#81 – DataCamp).
Or even better, add categories for hosting providers, just like cities currently are, so users can quickly find all servers from a specific provider that work best with their ISP.
For example, my ISP performance varies by provider:
- Excellent with Datacamp Limited (DataPacket)
- Decent with PV-SL-HOSTED-Warsaw-Network
- Terrible with M247Currently, I have to connect to multiple servers and check my IP info to find a provider that works well, which wastes several minutes and is very annoying.

More protocols
Hi
Please add more open censorship circumventing protocols..
Like AmnesiaWG and X-Ray
This is extremely important to bypass hard blocks. And also it will allow to set them up on rare systems (like OpenWRT routers, Raspbian, DD-WRT etc)

Proton VPN’s kill-switch isn’t Direct-Boot aware on GrapheneOS
On GrapheneOS, the updater runs before first unlock (BFU) to grab security patches, but Proton VPN’s kill-switch isn’t Direct-Boot aware. Enabling it brings up the VPN UI BFU, yet no network ever connects, so updates fail until you unlock the device.
Repro:
Install Proton VPN on GrapheneOS (e.g. Pixel 6 Pro 2025.05.15)
Turn on kill-switch
Reboot and stay at lock screen
Watch the BFU updater time out for lack of network
Impact:
Devices miss critical patches until next unlock, extending exposure to exploits.Fix:
• Mark the VPN service as android:directBootAware="true" in AndroidManifest.xml
• Move its config/certs into Device-Protected Storage…37 votes -
More language options (Finnish/Swedish)
Please add the same language options for Proton VPN on iOS/iPadOS, which are already on Proton Email app (29 languages). I wish especially Finnish and Swedish would be added for the VPN app.
The VPN app for iOS now has 17 different language options.
Many thanks!

Proton VPN ZTNA, and Bandwidth sharing
I'd love a native Proton app/feature for outbound connections from my home router, with four independent options I can turn on or off separately:
Access my own network – securely reach my home devices (NAS, cameras, etc.) from anywhere, without opening any inbound ports on my router/firewall.
Share my bandwidth – let my home connection help Proton's network (extra exit capacity), fully opt-in.
Hairpin my mobile traffic through home – route my phone's traffic back through my home internet connection when I'm out, so it looks like I'm browsing from home.
VPN out specific LAN devices – pick one or…

Option to quickly switch to a different VPN server
About once a day, I resolve some connectivity issue by connecting to a different VPN server. Doing this is almost the only way I directly interact with ProtonVPN. The process often goes:
1. Disconnect 2. ConnectBut sometimes, Autoconnect will keep selecting the same server. The process then becomes (Android app):
1. Disconnect 2. Connect (recognize same server) 3. Tap "Countries" 4. Tap search icon 5. Type city name 6. Tap options icon next to city 7. Tap server of choiceMy suggestion: If Autoconnect would disregard servers that I intentionally disconnected from (recently), my experience would be a lot…

Dedicated IPs , Rotating IPs , Double VPN Costumized
Dedicated IPs in major countries like the USA, Europe, Japan — something like NordVPN and Surfshark do, where we purchase dedicated IPs and choose the countries. However, it would be nice to include some shared dedicated IPs in the paid plan, with an additional fee option to have your own Proton IP in a country of your choice — Nord and Surfshark offer this.
Double VPN like Surfshark does — you choose both countries, the entry and exit points. It's not meant to eliminate or improve Secure Core, but rather for a customized Double VPN experience.
Rotating IPs — another…

Proton curated NetShield allowlist for privacy-respecting services
Instead of implementing per-user domain whitelists across all VPN apps, Proton could maintain a curated allowlist of privacy-respecting domains (like www.startpage.com) that are exempt from NetShield ad blocking.
This could be either:
enabled by default, or
offered as a single opt-in toggle.Pros: Simple implementation (DNS-side only), consistent across all platforms, supports privacy-friendly business models.
Cons: Requires Proton to curate and maintain the list and some users may disagree with inclusion criteria or prefer maximum blocking without exceptions.

Manual Port selection
Hi Team,
I would like to request an optional manual port selection feature for WireGuard (UDP/TCP) and other supported protocols.
For IPTV users, network performance can vary significantly depending on the port being used. Some ISPs throttle or prioritize traffic differently, and being able to switch between server-supported ports (e.g., UDP 53, 80, 443, 51820, etc.) could greatly improve streaming stability and reduce buffering.
The current Auto mode should remain the default, but an Advanced option for manual port selection would be extremely valuable for power users.
For example, Windscribe VPN already offers an optional manual port selection feature directly…

More circuvmention
Hi
Can you please add:
1. Support for stealth for Linux
2. Amnesia WG or V2RayBecause in censored networks your connection usually blocked.
Also, please, move all your VPN to 443! Because it is extremely trivial to block ports other than 53, 853, 443!
