  1. Show city in UI (top right)

    I've noticed (top right of UI) that ProtonVPN displays location-based information i.e. the country, server, and IP address only, it currently does not include the current city. Adding this piece of information could significantly improve the functionality.

  3. Device status indicator (how many out of 10 are in use)

    Its annoying that their is no overview of how many devices your using out of the 10 allowed.
    Also, it would be nice to be able to name your devices if this feature is added.

  4. Automatically restart connection

    It seems that if I leave my VPN running for a long period of time (longer than a day), my connection stops working. A disconnect and reconnect fixes the issue. It would be nice if there was an option to automatically disconnect and reconnect the VPN on a daily basis.

  5. Set default connection to a United States State

    It would be great if I could set my default connection to be any server in a particular State of the United States. For example, I would like to be able to specify connecting to a server in Georgia by default by entering US-GA in the Default connection/Auto connect setting. Maybe people connecting from other countries would like a feature like this too. As an extension to this feature request having a "Quick Default Connection" button to connect to whatever is specified as the Default connection/Auto connect setting would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    How about a new chat product from Proton like "Telegram" Since Telegram has been recently compromised with the imprisonment of the owner of Telegram in France. We need a new fully encrypted end to end phone/ chat app on the block...

  8. One connection per app (Automatic connect if specific app opened)

    I would like to have the option to have multiple vpn connections open at the same time, but only used for specific apps. I would like to use e.g. Switzerland by default but for netflix use every time US etc. So ideally the vpn client notices that I open netflix and connects for this app exclusively to US.

  11. create a toggle in UI to show bandwidth by bits instead of Bytes

    Recent paid customer. It's weird to measure bandwidth in Bytes. Create a little toggle button in Settings -> General for Bytes vs bits. Volume would stay as-is.

  12. Block Malware by maintained database (not just dns)

    To my understanding you now only block malware based on dns. I would think it would be very nice if also ip addresses of bad actors would get blocked by using realtime databases of such attackers.

  13. When is showing the server latency being implemented ?

    I literally don't care about the speed etc , I just need a vpn to be able game and browse websites which is 90% of my usecase!

  14. Never connect to specific U.S. states (e.g. those banning ****)

    I would like to have critieria set to never connect to U.S. states that require identification upload for adult content, even is fastest connection is set by default.

    It would be nice if we could set location-based exclusion criteria.

  16. Ability to choose to connect to the fastest server in a state in America quickly

    Currently if I want to connect to other states in America I have to go through a very long list of servers. I just want to quickly connector to the fastest server of that state or city with one click. More server detail option can be saved for some advance settings

  17. Auto connect for mobile

    Auto connect on mobile: Like other providers such as Surfshark, an auto connect feature which will enable the VPN on untrusted networks and disable it on ones defined as trusted (including mobile data) would be great.

    Another issue I have is that I will be using the VPN on a network which requires stealth, however when I switch back to a safe network the VPN will remain in stealth, since the connection is the user connecting directly to a server.   18. All VPN servers on a global network (a similar feature to Surfshark Nexus)

    Currently on Surfshark they have options such as RotatingIP (without any disconnections) thanks to Nexus. This is their name for having all of their VPN severs connected on a global network. This also can change the users server incase of over crowding without any loss of service. (For more info on what it does you can google Surfshark Nexus). Would be nice for a similar feature on Proton.

  20. multiple vpn tunnel connections to server at same time to boost speed

    Recently expressvpn introduced a new feature in their lightway protocol clled light way Turbo:
    it basically creates multiple simultaneous tunnels to a vpn server to boost speed. like idm etc.here is what their PR reads:
    "Lightway Turbo works by creating multiple tunnels to our servers, each taking traffic to and from your computer. In doing so, we engage multiple cores for processing and can create multiple instances on multiple servers for faster throughput and increased security.
