Without todo's and tasks using proton bridge to sync proton calendar to ical would wokr nicely integrating with apples reminder app.

Proton Mail gets all the love but Proton Calendar has always been missing features. If you really want to position yourself as a Google replacement, you really need to get on these basic features already.

Need this for integrating my Calender appointments into my Linux calender with notifications. My vote is for a CLI Calender bridge.

Are we able to get a response from Proton on this? It was shared 6 years ago ...

This would also provide a work-around for the missing backup functionality, currently keeping Proton Calendar from becoming a viable solution for business use.

I understand that Proton is slowly growing and it's amazing how far you've already come. But...
Calendar synch into Outlook/EM Client/Thunderbird is a kind of basic wish. The Proton Calendar client (inside Proton Mail) is not enough. I really need to keep using my EM Client, which works great with email but not contacts and no calendar? This is a BIG request.

ProtonMail is not worth using in the age of AI. If you can't sync calendar events for local LLM queries, what's the point? I'll be transitioning to another email service as soon as I get the time. ProtonMail is not business ready if you can't sync calendars. I can't run any kind of automation on my ProtonMail calendar events.

We cannot work with Proton suite without a third party integration, i.e. Calendly.
Now we have a good email solution with the worst imaginable calendar ever - zero connectivity.
I Proton Email I could connect my Wordpress in seconds using "create token" feature.
Why Proton calendar cannot do the same? -

YES ! I recently switched to Proton from Google, and being able to share calendars is the last thing I haven't found a solution for yet. If this is not implemented, I will have to find another tool for my calendars (I had to do it for my tasks too, which is fine but I would love to not have to get yet another tool...)

Absolutely a must have, I must be able to maintain and see conflicts in different calendars. If that's not possible, Proton isn't mature enough to migrate away from Microsoft.

This would also allow integration with things like homeassistant and nextcloud instances.

I will not be renewing my subscription if this feature is not implemented by the time my current subscription is up; I have given Proton the benefit of the doubt when it comes to new features since 2018; with the release of Lumo, Wallet and Authenticator, I have lost faith that they value quality over quantity. Providing a way to integrate your calendar with other calendars such as a work calendar by way of an email application like Thunderbird is a mind-boggling decision to me and shows that the people in charge of the Proton product roadmap prioritize users with very different needs from me. That's obviously fine, it just means that I have to find a product that does meet my needs (or self-host).

Hugely essential

This is very important. Especially since you can only delete all your calendar entries in Proton. Thunderbird would allow ability to delete a date range.

Lack of Proton Calendar in Thunderbird kind of demotivates me from using proton calendar at all, since I need each of my multiple email accounts and calendars accessible in Thunderbird, and being forced to use a separate web app just for Proton Calendar is bad UX. Having Proton Calendar as a part of Bridge is a necessity for me.

I think I understand the privacy trade-off, but for the calendar to actually be useful, it needs to be able to integrate into Thunderbird (me) or outlook (partner) like Gmail and others. Is there any timeframe?

Agree this is a major gap in integrating with Betterbird/Thunderbird. I have many email and calendar accounts. Moving to separate mail and calendar interfaces in Proton is not a useful option.
