Contact birthdays appear on Calendar
Proton Contacts allows users to record the birthday for each contact. It would be great if these birthdays could automatically appear in Proton Calendar.

I am surprised that features I consider fundamental are missing—for example, the inability to display contact birthdays in the calendar.

Yes. Please add this future as it's the only thing keeping my iCalendar open.

This is a blocking feature for me as well.

It is clear that it should be possible to add the contacts birthsday in the calendar. It should be in a seperate calendar called "Birthdays" just like that there is a calendar with national holidays,

This feature would be nice and best to have the option to toggle it on and off within the contact entry vs all or none.

This is the ONLY reason I still use google calendar as my main calendar. If I can fill a birthday on a contact somewhere (proton contacts?) and have it show as an calendar would make be completely exit google's ecosystem.

I would love to be able to do this, but also make it optional to show in Calendar or not. Sometimes I just don't care to have John Doe's bday cluttering up my calendar, but want to have his birthday info recorded.

Google calendar does this. I always found it useful.

A nice thing but totally un important. You can manually put it in the calendar, if you want.

This is absolutely key, currently I'm still tied to Google calendar because of it

This should be an easier one to implement. Contacts is really lacking in Proton.

Yes please

Agreed. This is a key feature, and shouldn't be too hard to implement.

Agree. This is a nice feature as I'm looking to make the switch to Proton from Google.

Adding my voice here. One of the only Google services I'm still using is Contacts, and not being able to show birthdays is part of that. Together with Android contacts integration of course.

Very importnt, or you PROTON guys risk to be seen as "tech-loving nerds" not willing to make a user-friendly product ;-)

The ability to create a birthday, as a special kind of event (just like in Google calendar) would be enough for me to subscribe to proton.
A calendar app where you are not able to create your parents birthdays, because years before 1970 are not selectable. Yikes.
