Weekly/Monthly view (and more..) in mobile calendar app
Weekly/Monthly view (and more..) in mobile calendar app.
I think we need some more views in mobile calendar app to make us better experience, instead of just Schedule View and Daily View. Especially when you are/try to move from other calendar app.
In here or Reddit I saw different opinion and I would like to wrap it up with mine here.
Views we need:
- Weekly Schedule View (Google Calendar schedule view style)
- Weekly Timeline View (Outlook Calendar schedule view style)
- Weekly Vertical view (Muji Schedule Planner style)
- Monthly Schedule View (Google Calendar schedule view style)
- Monthly Expansion View (Fantasical and Timetree montly view style)
- Option to switch between schedule view and event expansion view maybe
Different people use different view style depends on their schedule tightness, imo I sometimes switch between them in Outlook and Timetree.
If the schedule is tight in a week I will switch to weekly vertical view (Muji/Google style), to have a better hourly view, and the opposite, switch back to monthly expansion view(Fantastical style) to have more monthly control and know where/when to put my new task.
Also I think there are importance to share calendar with Family, but that's another topic I won't go though here.
Feel free to leave more opinion to discuss and let Proton know how well we want it.

aCalendar (Android app) also has a brilliant week view to be inspired from!

@Juraj Bednar Your screenshot is from Informant. I use it a lot. ProtonCalendar I love to use on Mac with its Proton Mail & Calendar currently in beta.
However, month view on mobile needs more brush up. It is good we have month view at all, but...
Besides, when adding description, one cannot click ENTER to go to another line on iOS.
More colors are needed for events. In Informant I can choose whatever color I like. -

I really really really think we need a 3-day view, similar to Google Calendar. One day is too limited, and the week view can be overwhelming.
And if it could be easily integrated as Google Cal is with the one-click "add to calendar" button, that would be absolutely amazing!

A quarterly view would help a lot.

I agree with the comments & ticket. For me the #1 issue left is a month view widget for Android or iOS. I believe this was asked for in the comments of the widget issue, but it was marked as completed without adding the month view.
Been waiting years for this feature! -

The week view I find helpful is 8 boxes in two columns of four (1 box for each day and the last a simple month calendar to help navigate). With only events and their times in each day rather than crowding the view with all possible time slots.

Viewing all events per day in a month view is already possible in my proton calendar android app. However in the iOS app this feature is not implemented. Hopefully this feature will come soon.

Hey,
I would like to see a better and more usable calendar view in the mobile app. Currently I see a month with dots on days where there are events and I have to click on a day to see the events. there is a better view, even on small screens that would be way more useful - expanding the calendar view on days and showing the events there.
This is how it could look on iOS (the app is called busycal):
https://drive.proton.me/urls/KCF4V3J0TR#CyQhor9MHhhCThis is how it could look in a browser (same app, desktop version):
https://drive.proton.me/urls/1XD4RDT89R#DiOLJHWDhrPAIt is a much better use of space and I have the whole agenda at a glance - I see which days I am travelling, which days I have meetings, which days are more or less empty. Then I click on a date and I see detailed view, but if I am trying to schedule something, this view is an absolute must. Clicking around days because there is a dot is pain.

The Google calendar apps let you read what your events are directly from the monthly view screen. Currently the Proton calendar requires you to select the day before being able to see what the event is; on the monthly view there is only a dot to indicate that there is something happening that day. It would be nice if the app was more like the desktop browser view for Proton calendar so that you can see all your events at a glance.

I like the android app. But I would love to have a way to view all my events in a month view. Instead of having to click each individual day to see what my events are.
Basically just copy Google Calendar monthly view for mobile and that would be perfect.
