How can we improve Proton Calendar?

Typing of Date in Calender Desktop App

When creating a new Appointment in the Desktop/WIndows Calender App, it is not possible to just type the Date as " 23.12.2024".
You always have to use the Monthly overview to skip to the event Date.
So when i want to set an Appointment for 2025, i have to click through the whole years of 2024 and 2025 to set my appointment.
