I totally concur with this. However, I'm thinking of it in context with the Android calendar app. The simple notification is too easy to miss. I find myself continuing to be tempted to go back to samsung calendar, because it has more robust alarm-features which are difficult to miss. I want to use proton calendar (for android) as my primary calendar app... but the truth is that the simple notifications it gives are far too easy to miss, or be interrupted or accidentally silenced by random or unexpected things. Much more attention needs to be given to updating the android calendar app notifications to being impossible to ignore or fail to notice. Currently, the android proton calendar notification can be dismissed by nearly anything, even interrupted in the middle of making its notification sound, which will never be heard again. It's a glaring problem that breaks the whole point of using it as my primary calendar.

Other requests in this system also ask for snooze. As of 12/15/24 this has 12 and the others have 53 and 5 votes for a total of 70.
I hope it grows to hundreds of votes, because I can't use alerts that I can't snooze. I really want to use Proton exclusively, but I have to keep using Thunderbird.
