When creating a new calendar, there are two categories of notifications:

1) standard event notifications,
2) all-day event notifications.

The suggestion is to add a third option:

3) first event of day notification.

For example, say one has a calendar "University classes". Usually, a notification 15 minutes before is sufficient. However, if an event (instance) of the calendar "University classes" happens to be the very first event of a given day (or more usefully, first event after „Sleeping“, a separate calendar), it would be useful to receive the notification one day prior as well.
