Notes are super important. Not as an extension of the calendar, but as a standalone. Like Google Keep but better.

A new Notes programme with full e2e encryption that could compete with EverNote and OneNote would be fantastic.https://lyricsnoha.com/

Make Proton notes like Skiff notes: an end to end encrypted collaboration Platform/ workspace. This could have a Chat/ commentary function as well!

I am about to pay for a subscription for Standard Notes, I hope that Proton Notes will be launched before I have to renew at Standard Notes - And that I'm able to export my work easily by then :)

If ProtonMail wishes to join the ranks of industry leaders a holistic suite of apps that include email, calendar, notes, and todo/tasks is necessary. This is why companies like Zoho are so successful. At the end of the day I will end up with a one-stop shop software solution as I grow weary of managing my data across multiple vendors.

I would love to see Proton Drive support something similar to the Google Keep "virtual sticky notes" file concept. Not sure if they could keep it "zero knowledge of content" but perhaps there would be a way to do that so that one could edit these files on the fly without having to download them.

I think that capability to manage "sticky note" text files would be extremely useful, similar to the Google Keep product. Especially on a cell phone or tablet, one does not want to have to download a document in order to edit it or view it because there is a chance it might remain on that device and therefore the security of it could be compromised. A capability not unlike Google Docs where the file can be virtually edited without downloading a copy would add extra security and not cause issues about different versions of different files floating around.

Ability to create basic text file and edit it is very important i think.

This is important to me. I am using Evernote but just recently there was a mistake in the online rendering and my old data setup (the way my folders were organized last year) showed up. That's a no-go! So whatever I deleted is actually still there. No good! Evernote's data is sitting on google servers. I don't like it.
I tried out Joplin Notes but the software kept dying on me (installed it myself on a private cloud). I gave up on it.

I would definitely like such an application (preferably as a separate app) since I take a lot of notes and would like to know them safe and private. Also, I would enjoy good integration with all the other Proton services like @Marcell described.

I prefer to have them as an extra app.
Like Protons calendar.
It's combined with ProtonMail but you can access it with its own application.ProtonNotes -> Create Note -> Add Due -> ProtonCalendar <--> ProtonMail
ProtonNotes -> get contact <--> ProtonMail -> add note to contact -

It would be great to support OneNote or EverNote like feature set that is simple and scalable. Support for MarkDown would be a plus along with import capability to easily migrate off other non-encrypted applications

It'd be great to build out a new Notes application to compete with EverNote and OneNote that would include full e2e encryption.

ProtonDrive is a BRILLIANT idea! The Privacy Industry Leader, Proton Technologies have given us the next logical step in protecting our Privacy and ability in sharing super encrypted Files & Folders!
Using "Open Source" like DropBox, Google Drive and others, in this case so called, because they really are Open Sources to nefarious organizations which exploit our privacy and use our lives as a resource to be exploited — the Privacy Company I have come to love and respect have given us a marvellous tool in Proton Drive. It is great to be able to exchange documents with other Proton Users with the peace of mind that it won't be exploited. And like we have become used to by this Swiss Quality Company: It works like a finely tuned Swiss Watch, at least as far as I have come in using my accounts.
Nevertheless, when we have this brilliant tool, why not append a Notepad to it. Nothing fancy, but a place where one can jot down text, pictures, links and other RTF formatted info?
I use Mac myself, and I know from several sources that when you open a Notes, TextEdit or similar file, at least for the time the file is open and until it has been given a filename, possibly longer, the info in that file is transferred to iCloud. Custody of that file content in transit and what happens to the content is uncertain, but chances are that they abuse this information like (almost) everybody else.
So, while we, the ProtonMail / ProtonVPN / ProtonCalendar / ProtonDrive customers enjoy the peace of mind that Privacy gives us within Proton Technologies simple, yet brilliant online encryption solution, it would be nice to have a Notepad-like function, so we can create files with Proton Encrypted information while we are inside ProtonDrive's UI.
I am looking forward with GREAT anticipation to see such a feature added!
With Thanks & Greetings from Arctic Norway!

Currently I use "Color Note", I keep sensitive data and information about my life on that app.
I do not feel safe keeping my information there because a blocking app I use tells me up to 40 times a day Google and other services are trying to access my data on Notepad!!
Because of attempted breaches I encrypted my passwords on Note and some I can not even break my own encryptions...
Truly I don't even trust the app I use to secure my data.
And I just found out duckduckgo sell my data/searches.The only name I trust here is "Proton"!
Please either you delevope a Notepad app or I am going back to the dark ages of pencil and paper!
