File Integration between Mail and Drive ( Attach / save )
It would be amazing to be able to do the following:
- Attach files to Proton Mail directly from Proton Drive (as link or as file)
- Save files from emails to Proton Drive
- Mass save attachments to Proto Drive

Connecting Mail and Drive to save attachments from Mail to Drive, and to send files from Drive to Mail. Like mail.com.

I agree! It would be great to save attachments directly to ProtonDrive with the option to delete the attachment after.

With Protondrive now part of the Proton universe I would prefer the option to select when saving an attachment from Protonmail to either directly choose a folder inside Protondrive, or to save externally to the hard drive.

adding an attachment of 25MB+ to an email should offer the ability to upload this file to a temp folder in ProtonDrive and automatically create a download link to insert into the mail.
This would simplify the process of sending big files directly in ProtonMail, without having to go to ProtonDrive first. -

a button, actually proton mail asks you automatically if you want to save direct to drive first and a button

I agree that it would be great to be able to save ProtonMail attachments directly to ProtonDrive. This would be important to avoid having to leave the encrypted environment to save the attachments.

Yes! It's great having encrypted storage but it really needs to be convenient to use. Being able to save protonmail attachments to my proton drive should be a basic function.

It would be great when Protonmail attchments can be saved instantly to proton Drive.

when I click to download a file attached to an email I want to have the option to download to my associated protondrive. I currently have to download to a local location then manually upload to protondrive.

Jochen commented
exactly what I thought. I do not like to have to first download the files locally to then attach.

This feature would be outstanding and helping a lot in simplifying day to day account use. With a Mac I have today to drop out from an email to the desktop and drop in in the folder where to copy an image for instance...

I totally agree. Using drive at this point is very inconvenient due to the convoluted journey to upload files. Logging directly into drive does not solve the problem, only increases my frustration.

when attacching a big files automatically uses ProtonDrive space

This would be really, really good, otherwise we are left with two files, one in a more secure protondrive and the original on the more hackable pc (even with security software) and also, with two versions, you eventually run into version problems.
