As a long-time user of Protons services, Despite these services being great on its own, what I noticed throughout the general opinion, when comparing these to Gmail or Apple is the concession that is given to Proton in terms of features to the great idea of the privacy. I do not buy it, I want it all, and I want it now.

What do I pay for? I am not an evangelist of privacy if for that privacy I have to sacrifice for my comfort, not because I am superficial, but because I know that both are possible.

How happy I was when I found out that Proton is not only heading us into the great feature of user privacy and confidentiality, but that it also is open-source and transparent. With that idea I went to GitHub to contribute to the project and out of it I got only regrets. Turns out, that you cannot contribute, your issues are ignored, your ambitions crushed (sorry, I am kinda getting into the character).

So my request/ask/discussion would be about addressing the issue and considering ways to enable motivated developers to contribute to the frontend development of the platform following certain guidelines. It does not have to eat on company's time, it would not damage the product, but it would certainly speed up the development that right now looks like a chase.

In the end, we are not here, because we care about Proton AG about all, we care about the cause, and if Proton carries it, I will stand behind the company—I do not want to cut into my comfort zone, if I know I have an option to have both—privacy and comfort.
