I believe that Proton Mail used to work effectively with Hookmark (previously just known as "Hook"), but I think it broke around the time that what used to be the Beta version was rolled out to everyone.
The basic concept is that the emails have a consistent URL scheme that can be found again in the future. So I can have a reference to a specific email that can be resurfaced with just a click.
