I dwell amongst the victims of stalkerware and complete loss of my 14 year old gmail account due to insidious past relationships.

The trauma of having your entire digital identity exposed leaves it difficut to download "recovery files" or use devices /QR codes/ PHONE NUMBERS or emails as options to recover your account when they all can and DO wind up exposed or lost entirely -or routed to forwarded numbers or addresses unbenownst to the user when a trusted person violates your private space.

For those with extreme security concerns and trauma related to the nightmare of stalkerware abuse- it would be wonderful to offer an alternate option of providing Identity verification incorporated with facial recognition via support staff/user live video chat where safeguards are available for victims (unlike GOOGLE who has no support option other than the community guides for account takeovers unless youre an influencer or someone paying for enterprise services )

There is so little support for victims and Proton could change the game for abuse victims simply by allowing them to feel safe online again and we would be happy to PAY for the service of security
