Save the Session App and Integrate it into the Proton Suite
Session announced that they will shut down if they cannot secure funding by July. This could be a great opportunity for Proton to save a dying Swiss technology company from extinction while also integrating it into their own suite.
Session is the most secure instant messaging app available to date. It's leagues better and more secure than Signal in every regard, however, they don't have enough funding and have publicly announced that they will be shutting down in July if they cannot secure enough money to keep operating. Session outshines Signal in that it uses no-knowledge encryption, but routes all messages through a tor circuit.
Proton should acquire them. Aside from Threema, which is paid, Switzerland and Europe don't have as popular secure instant messaging apps like the United States (which aren't as secure as they claim to be). Now is an opportunity to help change that and compete with WhatsApp and Signal.

Session is shutting down, and it was the only secure messaging app on the Apple App Store. I am disappointed; even contributing financially was not enough to keep it operating. Other messaging apps require phone number binding, which compromises anonymity. Session offered strong privacy features, including device wide message deletion and timed auto deletion.
I previously used WickrPRO and managed a large group there, paying per user. With both WickrPRO and Session gone, a significant gap now exists in the market for truly anonymous and secure instant messaging.
