Proton TV — Privacy-First Streaming Platform
I'd like to propose Proton TV — a Netflix-like streaming service built on Proton's privacy-first principles.
WHAT IT IS:
A dedicated platform for movies and series that prioritizes user privacy. No tracking, no cookies, no behavioral profiling. Your viewing habits stay private, even from Proton servers.
HOW TO ACCESS:
1. Paid Subscription — Standard monthly or yearly plan
2. Task-Based Free Access — Complete tasks assigned by Proton (security surveys, community feedback, bug reports) to earn 2-3 free movie/stream credits per day
KEY FEATURES:
- End-to-end encryption for all viewing data
- No user tracking or advertising profiling
- Payment options including Proton Wallet (crypto-friendly)
- Potential integration with Proton Browser (for unified ecosystem)
- Family sharing options similar to existing platforms
WHY THIS MATTERS:
Major competitors like Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, and HBO Max all extensively track viewing behavior, build user profiles, and sell data insights. Proton TV would be the first major streaming platform where privacy comes first.
Proton has already proven that privacy and mainstream services can coexist successfully (Mail, VPN, Drive, Pass). A streaming platform takes this mission further — showing that entertainment doesn't require surveillance capitalism.
THE BENEFITS:
✓ User freedom — Choose between paying or contributing to improve Proton's ecosystem
✓ Privacy protection — Unlike any existing streaming service
✓ Community engagement — Turns passive viewers into active contributors
✓ Revenue diversification — New income stream beyond traditional subscriptions
✓ Fair access — Everyone can enjoy entertainment regardless of budget
INTEGRATION OPPORTUNITIES:
Watch content through Proton Browser, pay via Proton Wallet, manage authentication with Proton Pass, and store recordings/saved content in Proton Drive.
Thank you for considering this vision for the future of Proton! This could become a flagship product demonstrating that ethical streaming is possible.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Privacy is becoming an important part of choosing a streaming service, especially when people want entertainment without unnecessary tracking. A privacy focused platform can make viewers more comfortable about how their information is handled. It’s also worth checking account settings, data policies, and available features before settling on a service that fits your viewing habits:

Hi,
Privacy is becoming an important part of the streaming experience, especially when people spend so much time watching online content. Proton TV’s privacy-focused approach makes the discussion interesting. For viewers who also enjoy discovering new drama content, I recently found https://dramawavemodapks.com/, useful for browsing different shows and entertainment options. -

Privacy-focused streaming is an interesting idea, especially as more users value secure digital experiences. Alongside privacy, easy access to entertainment is equally important, and inat box is a useful resource for streaming guides, app updates, and entertainment information.
