I would love to see Proton create Proton Notes, a privacy-focused note-taking app with end-to-end encryption (E2EE).
Today, many people use Notion because it syncs seamlessly across phones, laptops, and the web. However, it is not end-to-end encrypted, so I don't feel comfortable storing personal or sensitive notes there.
Obsidian is another excellent option because notes are stored locally and users have full control over their data. However, using it across multiple devices can be complicated, and without syncing, notes on one device are not automatically available on another.
Proton Notes could combine the best of both. It could provide seamless synchronization across Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux, and the web while keeping every note protected with Proton's end-to-end encryption. Whether I create or edit a note on my phone or laptop, it should automatically appear on all my other devices, making it feel like one unified app instead of separate copies.
A secure, privacy-first note-taking app would be a perfect addition to the Proton ecosystem and a great alternative for users who want the convenience of Notion without compromising privacy.
