Paying user here, with contacts and calendars already fully migrated to Proton. The birthday field exists in Contacts, but there is no way to surface it in Calendar — so for every new contact I have to maintain the date twice: once in the contact, once as a manually created recurring event.

My previous calendar app (Evolution) did this automatically: birthdays and anniversaries from the address book showed up as yearly recurring events. Every major competitor (Apple, Google, Fastmail) has had this for years.

What I'd like to see:

A separate, toggleable "Birthdays" calendar fed by the birthday field in Proton Contacts
Automatic updates — add a birthday to a contact, the event appears
Optional reminder lead time (e.g. one week ahead) and optional age/year display
Ideally support for anniversary fields beyond birthdays
Since Calendar is being rebuilt anyway, this seems like a good moment to include it. Thank you.
